3D Printing

We offer in-house 3D printing services, as well as outsourced 3d printing services from our overseas partners. Currently, the type of 3D Printing we offer in-house are only FDM and SLA/DLP 3D Printing. We have a small Print Farm of 10 3D Printers.

Our 3D Printing Services

Printhoek 3D is Namibia’s first professional and public 3D printing Service Bureau, backed by 7 years of on-hand experience, mechanical engineering and design. 

In-house, we provide FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) and SLA (Sterolithography) 3D printing. We are in possession of many of these machines to supply on-demand and shorten lead times when it comes to higher volumes requested.

Our strategic partners overseas allow us to also offer you more advanced 3D Printing technologies listed below, at affordable rates:

  • DMLS – Direct Metal Laser Sintering

    “Direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) is an AM technique for metal 3D printing. In this process, the metal powder (20 μm diameter), free of binder or fluxing agent, is completely melted by the scanning of a high-power laser beam. The resulting part has properties like the original material.” – Sciencedirect.com

    Materials: Aluminium, Titanium, Bronze, Cobalt, Inconel 625, Inconel 718, Maraging Steel, Stainless Steel 17-4PH, Stainless Steel 316L


  • SLS – Selective Laser Sintering


    “Selective laser sintering is an additive manufacturing technique that uses a laser as the power source to sinter powdered material, aiming the laser automatically at points in space defined by a 3D model, binding the material together to create a solid structure.” – Wikipedia.com

    Materials: Nylon PA12, Polystyrene


  • MJF – Multi Jet Fusion (Full-Colour 3D Printing)

    “Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) is a powder-bed 3D printing process developed by HP that bonds agent and powder in a process similar to binder jetting. Unlike point-by-point laser-based powder-bed fusion systems, MJF selectively distributes fusing and detailing agents across a bed of powder, and layers are fused together using infrared light.”- additivemanufacturing.media

    Materials: Full-Colour Nylon, Nylon PA11, Nylon PA12, Nylon PA 12 with Glassbeads 


  • PolyJet/MJP – Multi Jet Printing

    “PolyJet is a powerful 3D printing technology that produces smooth, accurate parts, prototypes and tooling. With microscopic layer resolution and accuracy down to 0.014 mm, it can produce thin walls and complex geometries using the widest range of materials available with any technology.” – stratasys.com

    Materials: Biocompatible Clear Resin, ABS, Rubber, Polypropylene (PP)


  • Binder and Wax Jetting 

    “ColorJet Printing (CJP) is an additive manufacturing technology with two main components: core material and binder. The core material is spread in thin layers over the build platform with a roller. After each layer is spread, color binder is selectively jetted from inkjet print heads, causing the core to solidify.” – 3dsystems.com

    Materials: Full Colour Sandstone, Castable Wax Ultra HD 

    Should you have a request which requires a combination of both traditional manufacturing such as laser cutting, cnc machining and welding etc. with additive manufacturing, we offer this service by means of outsourcing with our partners.
